One Lovely Blog Award

Coming back to blogging has finally paid off! Samaine at BookWorms Avenue has honored me with this cute little blog award!

The rules are :

  • Include the blog award logo in your post.
  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Nominate 15 other bloggers and let them know about it.
  • List seven random facts about yourself.
Seven random facts:
  1. My birthday is THIS SUNDAY!
  2. I have gone to Disney World at least once a month every month this year.
  3. I really want a Minnie Mouse apron.
  4. I'm addicted to eMeals.
  5. I don't have a best friend (aside from my husband).
  6. I am going on a 17-day vacation next month!
  7. When I was little, I wanted to be a cashier.
Fifteen Two other bloggers:

Oh yeah, look at me, I'm being a rebel and only passing this award on to only two recipients. Fifteen is just TOO MANY! This way, maybe the recipients will feel more special, and I'll be able to stop procrastinating and get back to my school work faster. Plus, these two blogs are *extra* special in that they are related to what I do for my job as opposed to just what I like to do in my leisure time.

Stylish Blogger & Sunshine Awards

I was quite shocked and certainly honored when I found out my blog received two awards this past weekend!
I would like to thank Lady Scribbles at Lady Scribble's Book Lounge for the Stylish Blogger Award:

Upon receiving this award I am supposed to list five random things about myself and pass the award on to five other bloggers. I will pass this award on to five other blogs whose layouts I love.
Random things:

  1. I have only recently realized how to truly accept the phrase "life goes on", especially when relating to things that have deadlines. For instance, I would always get stressed about school/homework, but then I realized that the due date is going to come whether I'm ready for it or not, and, the next morning the sun will (most likely) rise. If I fail a class (I haven't yet, thank God), life is full of second chances.

  2. I make awesome omelettes out of anything leftover in the refrigerator.

  3. I prefer Star Wars over Star Trek any day.

  4. I used to have an imaginary friend named Tion.

  5. I stopped watching Buffy two episodes before the Season Two finale because I found it way too depressing for that time in my life. Now that I've lived it, I'm ready to see how it ends.
Stylish bloggers:

Linna at 21 Pages
Natalie at Mindful Musings
Kristi at The Story Siren

I also received the Sunshine Award from Trini at A Book Lovers Review
To accept this award, I just have to link back to the person who gave it to me and pass it on to twelve other bloggers. I will pass this on to the twelve blogs I follow whose writers I find most cheerful/friendly.

Alee at Love Is...

Okay, yes, I was supposed to pass the award on to twelve bloggers but nine struck me as ones I needed to pass this award on to, so I'd feel bad if I had to choose only three more and not others, so I made it nine.
Random fact number 6: Nine is my number, anyway.

The Fabulous Sugar Doll Blogger Award...again!

Welcome back, Fabulous Sugar Doll Blogger Award!
I've just been granted this award by Minerva at Athena's YA Book Reviews.

Many thanks, Minnie! Because I received this award recently, I will just redirect you to that post to find out my 10 interesting things. I would like to take this chance to pass the award along to a few new blogs I have come across since I originally got the award. Again, they will be given to blogs [I follow] that I find cute.

The Fabulous Sugar Doll Blogger Award

I will admit, when I was checking my e-mail, reading a comment on a blog post that said "I've given you an award over at my blog. Check it out." I was 100% sure that I was reading comments on a post I had subscribed to on someone else's blog.
Turns out, I was 100% wrong and actually that comment can be found here on one of my own posts.
So it is with extreme gratitude that I extend my thanks to Natalie over at This Purple Crayon for my very first blog award!
May I present to you, The Fabulous Sugar Doll Blogger Award!

Like Natalie, I have no idea what the award is for. I only know that you are supposed to write 10 facts about yourself, and then pass the award onto 10 other bloggers. I think it sounds to me like a very cutesy award, so I will pass it on to blogs [I follow] that I find cute.
Thanks again, Natalie!

10 facts about me (without reusing the facts in my "about me"):
  1. I got a red mustang convertible in mid-December which I named Winchester because it sounds like a horse-y name, and, of course, because it's the name of my two favorite TV characters.
  2. Speaking of TV characters, I would like a dog and two cats that I could name Gibbs, Tony, and McGee, respectively.
  3. I don't like watching TV shows unless I have the TV show on DVD. It really bothers me to have to wait a week (at least) to find out what happens.
  4. Since watching Supernatural, I don't find scary movies scary. All it takes is a little salt.
  5. When I was little I used to sing the theme song from My Little Pony before bed - I think there was an episode that said if you sing before you go to sleep you won't have bad dreams.
  6. I've only ever had two dreams where I've been able to fly - any other time I'm falling. Though I never have dreams about drowning because I can breathe underwater
  7. I've been contemplating getting the same tattoo for over a year and a half, but I can't draw, so I can't draw the tattoo.
  8. Until college, I had only stepped foot in a public school during school hours once. My cousin took me to her school where they had two recesses a day. Any other time I was in a school was for testing when they were closed, for a sporting event, or for a Girl Scout event.
  9. I only had a desire to go to a public school for one year in middle school, but when my dad offered to pay me $50 a month to stay homeschooled after shootings in local schools, I jumped on it.
  10. I can lick my elbow.
10 receiving blogs:
  1. Andrea Graham at 4YA: Inspiration for Youth Advocates
  2. Kate at Grin and Bake It
  3. Kristen at Bookworming in the 21st Century
  4. Heather at Leelou Free Blog Layouts
  5. Marie at Make and Takes
  6. Paige and Brooke at Paige and Brooke
  7. Jill at The O.W.L.
  8. Kristi at The Story Siren
  9. Cindy at Princess Bookie
  10. Natalie at This Purple Crayon
I know I'm probably not allowed to give the award back, but #10 would have been a 3-5 way tie if I hadn't. Plus, if I had recieved the award from anyone else I would have passed it on to her, so I don't think it's very fair to not give it to her simply because she gave it to me first...
