Teaser Tuesday - The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading.
The "rules" are as follows:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two “teaser” sentences from that page.
  • *NO SPOILERS*
  • Include the title and author in case other TT participants want to add the book to their TBR list.
Okay, so this might be a little spoilery, but it's so early in the book that I don't think it should count...

"She opens the door and I hear a groan that reminds me of the Unconsecrated. For a moment I'm frozen in the hallway, reliving the moment when my mother turned and her screams gave way to anonymous moans."
~pg. 38 of Carrie Ryan's "The Forest of Hands and Teeth"

    1. I concur. I've had nightmares from movies before, but am fairly certain this is the only book that has been strongly written enough to give me nightmares.

    1. Oh I already know I love the series (though it IS the only book that has given me nightmares). I'm getting to read this one a second time because I'm using it for a paper. :)
