Bloggiesta! Is Back!

I learned something today! Bloggiesta! is NOT just in January, as I stated in my last Bloggiesta! introduction

I'm guessing (?) Bloggiesta! is a bi-annual event for bloggers to help motivate...well...blogging! Hosted by the lovely Natasha at Maw Books Blog. Guess when Bloggiesta! is? This weekend! - June 11th - 13th. (For more information and/or to sign up click here.) I actually didn't miss the first day this time around - Hooray!

The mascot of Bloggiesta! is Pedro, which stands for Plan, Edit, Develop, Review, Organize.

All the other bloggers I've seen participating so far have put a "to-do" list in their introduction post. I'm warning you now, full time work + summer classes + church + somewhat of a social life = a very boring list.

  • Participate in the Book Blogger Hop at Crazy for Books

  • Visit the other blogs participating in Bloggiesta!

  • Attempt to make some sort of block scheduling for my time

  • Finish Geography & Ancient Greece homework

  • Write paper on gender in Greek Classics

  • Bake cookies (Recipe can be found here - I modify it slightly; ask if you want the "secret")

  • Participate in as many mini-challenges as possible

  • Finish blogging about my Cincinnati trip

  • Catch up on "Top Ten Picks" from Jill at Random Ramblings

  • Catch up on MizB's Friday Finds (Should Be Reading)

  • Catch up on everything else I've had almost ready, but never wrote down

  • NOT PULL MY HAIR OUT OVER THIS LIST!

  1. Greek homework sounds cool! But I am glad that I don't have to deal with homework anymore. Good luck with your goals! :)

  2. Hi, here on the hop! I love the look of your blog! Did you design it yourself? Hooray for princesses! What's your favorite princess book? I love Cornelia Funke's The Princess Knight and Princess Pigsty, among others. For more classic princess stories, I love Cynthia Rylant's Cinderella from a few years ago. Gorgeous, with the Mary Blair illustrations!

I'm in library school training to be a librarian--if they don't close all our libraries in California!

  6. haha Chachic, it is actually quite enjoyable. It's just a lot to try to do at once with school + FT work + other lifestuff.

Margo, wow! Lots of questions! lol I did not really design it. I picked the colors and the main picture and font, but it was all put together by Tynga. (You can read about my WONDERFUL experience with her here - http://ysprincess.blogspot.com/2010/02/resource-website-tyngas-blog-design.html) I'm actually more of a Disney Princess fan than princess boks. :\ I guess I've always been a fan of more down-to-Earth books? I will keep your favorites in mind, though! :) Good luck in school! I sure hope they don't close your libraries! What a depressing thought!

Kat, Milka & Niki, thanks for coming by! :)

  7. Thanks for visiting my blog! Good luck with your goals for Bloggiesta!

I will definitely put you on the list for my International Book Blogger event idea and will probably contact you soon about it! I just feel like the bloggers outside the U.S. sometimes get left out of the mix and I'd like to make more of an effort to discover them.

  11. Pretty blog!

Thanx for stopping by. Just so you know my task list for Bloggiesta is way more than I expect to accomplish this weekend. I intend to plug away at it and keep adding to it through the weekend and on into the future.

My highest priority for the Bloggiesta is to visit participants and learn, learn, learn.

Loved the pics of that book fountain below.
